Our girl's dorm

Benefits

Pay and Allowances

Job Corps pays each student a living allowance twice a month while in the program. But just like a real job, taxes are deducted from this allowance.

Housing

Our center houses 240 residential students, with men and women in separate dormitories. Each dormitory has bathroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, TV rooms, lounges, and vending machines.

Meals

Our students are provided three nutritious meals each day at no cost in one of the best cafeteria facilities in Job Corps.

Wellness Center

The wellness center is open Monday-Friday for basic medical services which are provided free to our students. During the week, students may also see a doctor and receive basic dental services on campus, and an optometrist off campus - all at no charge. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day in the event of a medical emergency. Weight management, smoking cessation, pregnancy prevention, and other health-related programs are also available.

Graduate Benefits

As a Job Corps graduate, you will have a positive outlook and be qualified and prepared for today's professional workplace. Additional graduate benefits include:

  • A transition allowance of up to $1000 to assist you with transportation and housing
  • Job placement assistance for up to nine months
